Poetically Yours

I choose to allow you into my world
After I write every verse
Stroking my pen to the paper
With the thoughts I have rehearsed

Of you and I being combined
Mentally, physically, and bodily
Together as one poetry machine
A thought so heavenly

You too have captivated me
Your words are so divine
With similes and metaphors
That make you one of a kind

So I will accept that metaphorical ring
That you will place upon my finger
Because after I read your words
These strong feelings seem to linger

We will share a poetic love
So passionate and strong
That will last for ever
Because my heart beats your favorite song

With every line
I am hypnotized
After every stanza
I become more mesmerized

Who ever knew
That the stain of ink
Could bring two souls together
To be forever linked

So with this ring
We are to be wed
By our poetic powers
That shall never be dead
