When the simple melodies
Flow into my ears
They reach down into my soul
And pull out emotions
I didn’t even know existed there
They bring out the real me for me to see
By painting pictures of vivid emotions in every line
Setting moods with nice slow smooth mellow beats
Putting me in a calm state
Where everything else in the world disappears
And is just me and music together
It is an inspiration for my poetry
The interception of music into my mind
Creates a touchdown of creative lines
My heart vibes across the yard lines
Of the melodic tones
Without it I would be incomplete
It starts my days and ends my nights
