How could you sleep in betrayal
And still manage to lie about being loyal
Fake is what your title should be
Friend was a word too far good for your lacking qualities
Liar would’ve suited you much better
Because the truth seemed to hide far from your mind
Were we blind to that fact
Or did the case present false evidence
Conviction of you is yet to be announced
Because for some reason the victim gave you apologies
Even though the crime of betrayal had never been so evident
It seemed to remain invisible to you
You may try to sit back and say you’re still a good friend
But I know how this story should end
